Colin Kahrs is the Head of Intellectual Property at FundaMental Pharma.

With over 25 years’ experience in intellectual property (IP) for the pharmaceutical and chemical industry, Colin manages the company’s IP portfolio and drives the general IP strategy to protect FundaMental Pharma’s pipeline assets.

Starting his career in the patent department of Merck KGaA in Germany, Colin later served as a director in the IP department of Merck Serono (CH), with responsibility for drug discovery projects and products in clinical development through to Phase 3.

He has since been a consultant to a venture capital firm and several start-ups in the life science field, including Asceneuron (CH), as its Head of IP.

Colin holds a German Diploma (MSc) in Chemistry from the University of Goettingen, Germany and a PhD from the University of Marburg, Germany.
