Igor Velichkov is Head of Finance and authorised representative (Prokurist) at Portus Corporate Finance, where he supports life-science and technology companies with comprehensive financial management.
His strengths lie in building and optimising finance functions, implementing effective controlling and reporting systems, and guiding organisations through periods of growth or change. With solid expertise in corporate finance, he helps companies prepare for fundraising, strengthen investor readiness, and manage valuation and transaction processes.
Combining his dual academic background in law and economics with fluency in German, English, and Russian, Igor offers a unique mix of financial, legal, and cross-border communication skills that add strategic value in both operational and international contexts.
During his career as a corporate consultant at Portus Corporate Finance, Igor supported a large number of mandates as interim CFO in the preparation and implementation of financing rounds as well as in the procurement of growth capital and acted as a strategic sparring partner to C-level executives.
Prior to joining Portus Corporate Finance, Igor worked in the corporate finance department of Funke Mediengruppe and in the commercial law department of PWC Ukraine.
As an educated lawyer and economist, Igor has extensive experience in corporate finance with a particular focus on commercial management of small and medium-sized companies in the medtech and biotech sectors.
