Dr. Mayr has been serving as a Senior Healthcare Advisor to EQT Investments (Stockholm, Sweden) since August 2021.

Dr. Mayr is a highly experienced biopharmaceutical executive with over 30 years in drug discovery, technology and innovation, business growth, and financing strategy.

He currently serves as Senior Healthcare Advisor to EQT Investments (Stockholm, Sweden) and holds board positions at multiple biotech companies, including FundaMental Pharma, Phoremost, Mogrify, InCephalo, LenioBio, and SensibleBio, as well as advisory roles with Fraunhofer IGB & IPA, Fraunhofer IZI, The Francis Crick Institute, and Medicines Discovery Catapult.

Dr. Mayr has a strong track record in leadership and innovation, having served as CEO of Vector BioPharma AG, CTO of GE Healthcare Life Sciences, and senior R&D executive roles at AstraZeneca, Novartis, and Bayer Pharmaceuticals.

He also brings experience in venture-backed environments, including his role as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Syncona Investment, supporting portfolio growth, strategic exits, and commercialization of cutting-edge biopharmaceutical technologies
