Thomas is the founder of FundaMental Pharma. He was also instrumental in founding two other bio-similar companies. While he launched Formycon he also triggered the launch of EirGenix.

He has been working in the life sciences sector for over 40 years, including 20 years as CEO and managing director as well as an executive consultant with his own consultancy.

His experience covers a wide range of topics, including HIV research, drug development, diagnostics, and nanomaterials/product authentication.

He began his career at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics in Berlin, where he worked from 1983 to 1990 on characterising the HIV replication cycle. He received his diploma and doctorate from the Free University of Berlin.

Before joining Biotechnology, he held several senior management positions for both Bayer AG and Bayer Yakuhin/Japan. Thomas is a member of the board of directors of FundaMental Pharma and EirGenix Europe GmbH.
