Prof. Dr. Daniela Mauceri
Prof. Dr. Daniela Mauceri studied Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at the University of Milan in Italy, where she also obtained her Doctorate in Pharamacological Sciences and Neuroscience with a project focused on the trafficking of glutamatergic receptors at the synapses. She then moved to Heidelberg as an EMBO post-doctoral fellow to work in the group of Prof. Hilmar Bading on the role of nuclear calcium signaling on neuronal structure.
Daniela then opened her own research group focused on the molecular and transciprtional control of neuronal morphology in health and disease at Heidelberg University. She is now a Professor at the Institute of Anatomy and Cell Biology at the University of Marburg, heading the department of Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience.
